Real Life Counselling • Since 2009

Real life is hard sometimes. That’s why we’re named after it.

Real Life Counselling is a virtual counselling and psychotherapy practice serving Ontario and British Columbia, founded in 2009 by Ashley Kreze, who named it after the tough life stuff she’s been through too. We provide ethical, research-based counselling and psychotherapy, we work to be products of the product, and we match every client with the right therapist, not just the next available one.

Our Mission, Vision & Values

These have guided the practice since 2009, and they haven’t needed to change.

Our Mission

To dedicate ourselves in enhancing the emotional well-being of individuals in a compassionate and safe environment through professional means. By sharing knowledge and empowering our clients, we serve to guide, teach, and heal. May we all celebrate what we have been given and create the best possible life story.

Our Vision

Real Life Counselling’s vision is to be the most sought after Counselling and Coaching company. Real Life Counselling will earn customers’ enthusiasm through continuous improvement driven by the integrity, respect, and the values of the company.

Our Values

Who we are, and what we do, emanate from the same source; what we offer in our services come from the same values. We are here to focus on the needs of the individual through empowerment, respect, professionalism, accountability, confidentiality, and continuous learning.

How we work

Three things make this practice different from picking a name off a directory.

1

You’re matched, not assigned

A real person reads your intake and matches you with the therapist whose approach, experience, and personality fit what you’re navigating, not whoever has the next opening. If the fit isn’t right after a few sessions, we help you find a better one.

2

We measure outcomes, honestly

We use Greenspace, a validated clinical outcomes platform, to track how clients are really doing over time, because therapy isn’t just about how a session feels in the moment. Research identifies the therapeutic alliance as the strongest predictor of outcomes, so we measure ours and hold ourselves to it.

3

Everything fits real life

Secure online sessions from wherever you are in Ontario or BC, with evening and weekend availability. Covered by most extended health plans, receipts provided, and no doctor’s referral typically required. Most clients begin within a week.

Trusted by teams and organizations

Alongside clinical work, Real Life Counselling delivers live, therapist-led virtual workshops for organizations, trusted by teams at Telus, BC Children’s Hospital, Engineers and Geoscientists BC, Bard Canada, Dolden Wallace Folick LLP, and more since 2009.

She has a remarkable ability to make complex topics approachable and practical, equipping employees with valuable tools to support their well-being. We highly recommend her services and greatly appreciate the positive impact she has had on our organization.
