I believe that within each person lies the wisdom that is needed to make meaningful change in their life – my aim is to help you find that wisdom and empower you to make the changes you want to see in your life. Whatever you’re experiencing, you’re not alone, and we can navigate it together. I will offer you a safe space to unload, process, and heal whatever is weighing you down.
In her work with individuals, Nicole incorporates Brainspotting. Brainspotting is a new psychotherapy approach which theorizes that the field of vision can be used to locate eye positions that correlate with relevance to inner neural and emotional experiences. Through maintaining fixation on these eye positions, or Brainspots, one can begin to experience healing, reprocessing, and resolution of issues that are held deeply within the non-cognitive and non-verbal areas of the brain. In addition to Brainspotting, Nicole also flexibly incorporates principles from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
In her work with couples, Nicole uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy to help highlight and utilize the strengths present in your relationship to assist in navigating the issues that are causing your relationship to feel stuck. Nicole has also completed additional training in helping couples rebuild broken trust while understanding the impact that broken trust can have on both partners and the relationship.
