My approach to therapy starts with a safe space where you can express yourself fully. I believe in working with your strengths while addressing the issues that cause you distress.
I will work with you to address anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship issues, and self-esteem. I have helped my clients navigate difficult experiences in life or school, with grief, and with academic and work stress. I have worked with children and can help with parenting-related issues, including severe problems like selective mutism.
I integrate many forms of therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness. When working with children, I also use play therapy and art activities.
Trilingual, Multi-Cultural Approach
I speak English, Hindi and Marathi, and can help you with inter-cultural issues. My experience working with children and their parents (at the Santa Clara School District) gives me a unique perspective on the stresses experienced by both. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in Human Resources and can help you navigate the stresses of corporate life.
